Throughout her fifteen-year career as a winning advocacy expert, Kristin Pearson Wilcox, J.D. has built a reputation of integrity, collaboration and success in Washington, D.C. food politics. She has spearheaded administrative, legislative and regulatory efforts for the $122 billion U.S. bottled water industry, the $60 billion U.S. frozen food industry, and the $125 billion U.S. dairy industry. She considered herself a “foodie” before the term was a popular hashtag.

She led the legislative portfolios and managed the government relations staff and budgets for the International Bottled Water Association, American Frozen Food Institute, National Yogurt Association, National Frozen Pizza Institute, Frozen Potato Products Institute, International Dairy Foods Association and the National Food Processors Association (now the Grocery Manufacturers Association). She has been applauded by these groups for bringing measurable growth to political action committee giving, successful strategic deployment of grassroots programs and aggressive advocacy agenda leadership at the federal, state and local levels.

In 2016, Pearson Wilcox was nationally recognized as a “leading voice” on the future of food and beverage consumption by the Culinary Institute of America and the Harvard School of Public Health, quoted in their Menus of Change Report. Wilcox is a sought after speaker at the Brookings Institute Executive Education Program and supporter of the Professional Women in Advocacy Forum. She serves on the Board of the Alliance for Stronger FDA.

Pearson Wilcox has successful led million dollar, federal legislative and regulatory advocacy campaigns on nutrition, labeling, biotechnology, sustainability, food safety and standards, food security, trade, immigration, transportation, environmental policy, healthcare, wellness and prevention, federal appropriations, agriculture subsidy and feeding program policy. She has testified before Congress and numerous federal agencies, interacting with decision makers at the White House and policy officials at key federal agencies. 

Pearson Wilcox has been the point person on the executive management team steering the Capitol Hill crisis response efforts. She has nearly two decades of experience creating industry consumer group partnerships and forming bipartisan Capitol Hill relationships with House and Senate Leadership and Committees that determine the future of food and agriculture policy.

She has built a reputation for successful consensus building by leading national food industry coalitions to repeal the Renewable Fuel Standard, oppose FDA food industry user fees, pass trade agreements with Columbia, South Korea and Panama and protect the serving of wholesome and nutritious prepared food products in the USDA school meals program.     

Pearson Wilcox holds a law degree from American University, Washington, D.C. and her continuing legal education has focused on food and drug law. She is a member of the Food and Drug Law Institute, and the Government Relations Leadership Forum. She is not licensed to practice law.
